    Quixtar - Scam?

I just came back from a meeting with a Quixtar recruiter - Being the skeptic I am, I refused and don't plan on going to the next open meeting.

Do you know anyone who has been successful in Quixtar?

From what I've read, it seems you just dilute your life to attend motivational meetings, purchasing books, tools, etc.

It seems like a business cult to me.

It's definitely a business cult that will also turn religious on you as you get more into it. Most of them are Christians.

I do know a local surgeon who is a Diamond.

Quixtar = Amway renamed, in case you didn't know.

I know a number of people who have successful Amway/Quixtar businesses, but they do it full time and have been for 25+ years. They're also the ones putting out the tools, writing the books and running the meetings.

It's just like any business, you get out of it what you put into it...and there are different ways to go about making it work. They defintely do make it seem easier than it really is to make it a success. But it's not impossible.

My parents have been involved with the Amway corp for pretty much my entire lifetime. To this day I still benefit from their involvement. But it's not a business I'd get involved in.

I find it interesting how many doctors/lawyers/high-profile executives are under this program.

Makes sense though-- I can't count how many high-profile names the Quixtar recruiter threw at me.

What's even more phishy is the Microsoft/IBM partnership.

Those are all the type of people with a large network of contacts and are in a position of influence.

The Microsoft/IBM partnership is basically that they're providing the hardware and software to run the site.

You may have nailed it on the head. Regardless, the level of PASSION they instill in their network marketers is nothing short of amazing.
