how does Overture represent domain value?

I'm new to the domain game and was wondering how you make the connection between Overture results and the value of a domain name for type-ins?

Is there any specific formula to go by?

Might be interested in selling a few domains I've had for a few years and have never done anything with...

If you need examples to explain the differences in values and would like to save me some work (much love!) you can use sluttysoccermoms.com and extremeadultsites.com as 2 examples to compare.

    Thanks in advance!

Yeah but if the term 'porno.com' was searched for 38,575 times in Overture what do you factor that by to estimate the amount of type-ins the actual domain received?

That's what I was looking for.

I think its about half for a daily type-in value.
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

Hard to say using overture, for some domains 40-50% is about right for daily typeins, porno.com would get a lot more though I think.... so dont bank on the overture numbers!

ofcourse, i have more then an idea, i have a program that would spit out in a round about way just about what it would do daily.

ofcourse, i could ask KRL and find out 100% to a T what it was

just so happens with THAT domain thats the way it is.

to get to what you are asking, yes i belive the 20k figure for type ins is off on that domain before i would even bother running the numbers on it. just off 1st glance.

OK dude, not trying to start another drama...

But what multiple would u normally guess (I know overture is very unreliable at times)... I found between 2 and 4. I just guessed that a high profile one might get a lower multiple.

i am by far not trying to start any drama what so ever and im sorry you get that impression about me
2-4 is mostly correct, but there are ALOT of factors that come into play and to just use overtures keyword tool to figure a traffic analyzation would be missing alot of other tools that are key to putting a much closer figure down then 2-4 xs
