    Argh! Windows Automatic Updates!

So I wake up this morning to find that my computer has been rebooted and I have a little message from Windows pop up to let me know that they installed an automatic update and it was necessary to reboot my computer. Bah! Now I've lost all my open ICQ's, my unsaved text documents, and my sanity!! I don't even have automatic updates enabled on my comp. WTF??

Yup, that happened to me too. I thought my power supply had broken again.

Damn it. I hate M$. I'm going to switch to XPLite.

I hope M$ saved us from some world famous serial killer computer virus or something, because if not, it's a really fucking shit feature.

That is some sneaky shit, that automatic updating. What good does it do to turn off automatic updates if they're just gonna do it anyway?

make sure you Check your Update settings and alow only to
notify you once an Update is available but don't automatically
download or install them. that should do the trick next time.

its best overall to switch your pc off for the night

never leave it on - security risk plus it wears the fucking thing down

That's the exact thing I'm bitching about. I do not have updates set to install automatically but they did anyway.
