encoding wmv: how many streams?

How many streams do you encode your wmv files with and at what bit rates?

Want to make sure i get the best quality for the surfer with out compromising to much on server space.

tips and tricks on encoding are welcome.

so one at 56-64k and one at 512-700k?

I would do one around 32, and the other around 500..... even true dial up you wont get 56, it takes about 5-10 for the overhead to hold the connection.
