Ok, about a half hour in I think. Still going off same little disk. My guess is I ground up about a gram and ahalf. Read a bunch of different instruction and everyone seems to have their own method. One method is to let is sit and wait 10 minutes for vapor to collect, one just hit it every two or three minutes. I just said fuck it and left the tube in my mouth and just breath in through it and out through nose. hahah. Works.
Its hard to get used to. No smoke, no vapor... just an odd tasting air. Im curious how long this little disk is gonna last. I will go till it dies. For the sake of science...
It odd, after 10 minutes I opened the disk, weed still there. Looks untouched. And Quiet is right, major body high. Which is ok, but I prefer it the other way around. That and I am testing it out on the same weed I been smoking for 2 months straight... and you know how that can have an effect on the desired effect.
I suspect that if I layed off for a week, and threw in a different strain, it would be brutal.

Ok, about an hour and half in and I think the first disk has run its course. Look in disk, looks untouched. Too bizarre.
So. Hour and a half, gram and a half down. Baked out of gourd.
Success.
Will set used disk aside and throw it in tomorrow and see if it really is spent.
Ok, now on to second disk. You cant judge just off one test. This is going to require multiple disks and hours out of my day. Science is hard.

Big discovery at beginning of disk 3.
Instructions said to grind the "herb" and to moisten it.
Previous to disk three, I had mostly just crumbled it like joint material and barely moistened it.
I took half the usual amount, basically ground it down to very fine pieces and after inserting into disk, dunked it into a bowl of water like a teabag.
Turned the unit heat up to 260 degrees and waited for greenlight go.
After I stuck the disk in, I instantly started to see vapor developing on the little windows and in the inhalation tube. Is that a word? Anyhow, sucked it out... repeated process about 4 times as vapor collected. All same disk.
This was it, this is what it was for. Devastating. Holy. I wasnt moistening it enough before to get a good vapor. This has exceeded expectations.
damn.
I bet if I take disk 1, dunk it in water, and put it back in, it will do some damage. But not right now. Not right now.Comment

The unit isnt sold as a marijuana smoking tool, so it doesnt tell you how to best vaporize your marijuana. It says that most of the active ingredients that you want to vaporize on any variety of herbs will best vaporize at 240 to 260. I started at 240, then 250, and this time 260 and wet.

The disks seem pretty damn good quality, I dont forsee going through a ton of them. Only time will tell. It comes with two, and I think that will be plenty. How often does the screen in your pipe need to be changed? If you are using screens that is.
And looking at them, I am sure you could make them yourself with no problem out of the same screen you use in old school pipes.

It makes sense now. I was thinking the "disks" were the key to making it work but there just glorified screens. I try not to use screens in my glass pipes but I do have them. If you smoke good enough bud (which I know ya do) then you only need screens to keep from sucking it down into the bong.
