Need a thumbnail maker

I am looking for a thumbnail maker that lets me see the image pic what area i want and then makes it an automatic size that i have asked for, almost like the thumb maker from comus thumbs but not web based

that just makes the thumb of the full image i wanna be able to select what part i want it to make

Use the crop tool in photoshop.
You set the size and then just slide it over the area you want to crop and voila you're done.

If you don't have Photoshop or some other graphics program with a cropping feature built in, jmbsoft.com have a new cropping tool at $30 (if I recall correctly) with a free trial. The only problem is that as of earlier this week, the only link was in their customer area, so if you don't already own one of their other scripts, you will have to find someone who does, to get you inside.
