At the end of the day, it really isn't his fault. He is doing what is within GFY limitations.

I understand if someone has an issue or distaste for a sponsor, but when a surfer is obviously just vying for attention, it should be stopped. Around here, if a legitimate webmaster condemns a non-advertising personality, they have a much greater chance of getting banned than a surfer bombarding sponsor announcements.
