    Making Content Sell

Okay, over the past couple of days I have really cracked-down on my affiliate program. A lot of people on here were a lot of help, and it is really shaping up. I will do what I can to keep improving everything, but I think it is ingood shape.

However, something else I was doing this week has flopped. I had a 20% off sale on my content, which ends Friday, and I have had no takers. So, this leads me to believe that, like so many things, when it comes to selling content, my weak point is the *selling*. I'm not a marketing guy.

So, seriously, what am I doing wrong? The automated store with downloads is on the way, but it will take a while. What should I be fixing up with the current content sales operation to get people interested. I don't want to sell a ton, because that would just saturate the market, but I'd like to sell *some*. Can I get some feedback?

Thanks for any help. Hope this doesn't come across as spam, just trying to learn from people who know a lot more than I do.

My theory is that these are premium pictures. A higher price means I seel fewer sets, but that's sortof what I want. I am happy to adjust the pricing, but I want to keep it firmly upmarket. I'm only selling each set four times, so I don't want them to sell for $25. These are sets of 100+ images... What should they be selling for?

1/ limit your sales to a set #
2/ Give away some content, but watermark or add some kind of link to your free items
3/ run some kind of contest that will barter your product - hehehe that one works well

Who are some premium photo content providers? I'd love to look and see what similar people charge. I guess nobody is *quite* similar, but some high-quality softcore and light fetish stuff would probably give me an idea.

Update: I have lowered prices, cleaned-up the content page, and added some actual images to the page with the info on it. (Rather than making people click.) Any other ideas?

The photos I see are some really nice pics. Wish I could offer some helpful advice but selling photos is not my area of expertise.

Hate to say it, but I'm glad it's not just me. I mean, I opened my doors to sell my anime content over a week ago and even though my stuff is significantly cheaper than anything on the market I haven't had any takers. I have a feeling reputation and longevity goes a long way. Just my

Best of luck, though I don't think you will need any.

You're welcome to join in this thread and ask for advice for your stuff too... Some of it will probably apply to both of us.
