    .htaccess to replace hotlinked pics?

So I have an .htaccess to block hotlinkers, but what if I want to replace the pic they are hotlinking with a gif that says "fuck you" etc.

    Currently I use:

    ### Prevent "hot linking" of image files from other sites
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://yourdomain.xxx/.*$ [NC]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.yourdomain.xxx/. *$ [NC]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/.*$ [NC]
    RewriteRule .*\.(gif|GIF|jpg|JPG)$ - [F,L]

Don't use "FUCK YOU" use a picture of a goat with a party hat.

Not quite sure where you can find a picture like that though......

So you'll continue to let them suck your bandwidth br providing them a picture to download instead of sending them elsewhere on the net... how brainy...

Is there a way to hotlink protect and have a popup activate instead of a little red X?

If we redirect to an html page they won't see it as they are looking at embedded jpg's.

We now have 100mbs unmetered Cogent so I think we can serve up a few promotional gif's, even at a low probability of sale.

Anyways it is well worth it to send a special thank you to the guy who is doing it....one of our competitors.

Responding a bit to a previous post...If someone hotlinks your movies you can give them an ASF file that will send them to pop up purgatory. I am doing it right now hee hee.
