If you do View>Page Style>No Style with Firefox you can see the links on their page. It looks the code is still there but the linking pages have been removed. I wonder how many other sites are doing this.

Only the hidden links have been removed, not WordPress per se nor it's users.

would be funny if tomorrow, google announces that they actually BOUGHT wordpress, and this was just a publicity stuny. probably not, though. that HotNacho company is pretty interesting. they use traditional 'banner ad' processes for their Text Articles - paying flat fees for hosting their articles.
