Best PhotoShop CS Tutorials?

I agree. Fuck leeching mother fuckin' newbie wannabe's. If they don't have time to figure it out for themselves, or find their own resources... Why should you waste YOUR time to help them?

Hey Smut ;) I am no "leeching mother fuckin' newbie wannabe". You may even know me. I've been around quite a long time. Five years to be exact. I have my reasons for having a low post count.

The reason for this thread is because I'm tired of contracting designers that don't come through when I need the final product. If I learn photoshop, it's one more trick up my sleeve that I don't have to rely on anyone for ;)

Thanks to everyone who have given me these awesome links. So far pslover.com has been great. I'm going to check the rest of them out later today when I have some spare time.

Is there something wrong with someone trying to improve themselves and learn how to do something (whatever it may be) on there own? Does that make them a leech? The guy simply asked for some links so he can learn to make cool text effects.

I teach myself. I have about $3k worth of BOOKS that I frequently study, along with the infamous "Google" at my finger tips. Do you honestly believe that with such resources, I need to have someone "teach" me something about what I do? I'm not even a designer and I can find my own tutorials, and have done so on many occasions.

It's just laughable to see someone trying to get "Cliff's Notes" on someone else's research, so they can short cut the learning curve.

nah, i spent plenty of time on google, most of the stuff wasn't nearly 1/2 as good as the links posted on here. I got tired of lousy effects i found on google, as well as 404's, so I decided to ask the pro's for their opinions. So far, so good ;)
