how can I count outgoing links without installing a script?

I want to know how many times a particular link is clicked without installing a traffic trading script...since it is only 1 link.

any ideas?

Uhm, does the link you are referring to lead to a sponsor or does it stay within your domain?

If it stays in your domain you can simply use server logs.

For the other thing, just write a simple php script that will increase a counter each time the link is clicked. Shouldn't be more than a few lines.

A "what link did you exactly click??" poll does the job as well..

i would suggest that you give WUSAGE a try. it's a pretty decent stats program that can help you track outgoing clicks as well. check it out here:

if your surfers are non compliant, simply hack the Hitbox counter of all of the people you link to, and do a reverse stat check, you will be golden... i hire 17.5 year old girls in Thailand to do this for me
