Testing a site against different browsers- Tool Needed

What tool do you guys recommend for testing a website in different browsers and resolutions.

Something that would emulate the most popular browsers and allow me to check designs for compatability.

    thanks in advance.

Yes I can do that but that doesn't help with the different versions. I am not about to download all the versions of each platform. There has to be something out there. I have been googling and see a bunch of shit thus far.

Ahh... yeah, that's true. But I think you'll drive yourself nuts trying to make it compatible for every browser in every version when really there's only 3 that take up around 97 or 98% of the marketplace.

I don't think there is anything that will do that. I was looking for something like that a long time ago. Actually started thinking of ways to create a service that would perform that. Enter a url, select a browser, version, and resolution and see how the page renders. Couldn't come up with a solid way to make it work. If you find anything, let me know.

You are probably right. I am downloading all the major browsers onto another machine now that I can use for testing etc.

If anyone else does know of a good tool though please let us know.
