I've seen people linking to google from their sites and I've seen it mentioned somewhere in an article about linking back to google. Does that shit actually mean anything?

Google ranks you based on both who links to you and who you link to ... as long as the incoming and outgoing links are relevant to your site. So, for most of us here it shouldn't help, but you never know - Google may just give a little boost to those that link back to them but I'd don't think anyone's proved it yet.Comment

Outbound links does not provide you with PR in anyway whatsoever... otherwise every joe schmoe would be linking to sites like msn, news stations, and other high PR sites.
