Question about blogs.

Where is a good place to start one? A place where I don't have to worry about it closing down in a year from now and a place that offers the ability to use adult related ads. Also, places that offer ways for people ti find my blog from their front page or whatnot.

Any ideas?

Also, do these hosted blogs have the same benefit as self hosted blogs do when it comes to search engines?

host your own blog

wordpress.org is excellent blogging software and should be easy to setup (haven't tried myself yet)
