Opening thumbnails into html

I have read on some of the threads, and on almost all TGP TOSs that you can't have thumbnails open into an html page. Any reason why this is so? Is it to stop people from putting popups on the pages?

Alot of them don't want us having more banners to load on those pages. Lowers our chances and increases theirs to get clicks to sponsors.

because it makes it tooooo easy for ppl to cheat and it a lot of extra review time for the tgp.

So its just the TGP dictating to the gallery make what he/she is allowed to do on their gallery. Even though without us they would be out of business. Punks.

call it dictation if ya like but there are only so many hours in a day that anyone wants to put into reviewing galleries and with pics on pages it takes fucking ages to check every outlink on a 20 pic gallery, just the way it is, but there are some that accept html pages if ya look, maybe they just aint wised up yet.

This is a subject that I am quite touchy on.
I HATE the fact that a pic doesn't load centrally on the page - I like uniformity.
Maybe tgp 'regular' submitters should be able to get away with it?

I would love if the "regulars" could get that option, but I haven't seen any TGP's doing that AT ALL, and if some smaller ones do it the traffic they send out is probably so small not even worth submitting to....

But it never hurts to email a tgp owner/reviewer and ask...

Not allowing a thumbnail to open into an html page really hurts the people who are trying to build a brand with their website. For those who just build galleries for advertising/signup reasons only, this may not be a concern, but it is when a brand is trying to be built.

Maybe the tgp owners should fall in with the other threads conversations of late and cut DOWN on how many links they put up per day and the number of pics that are on the gals, eh?

I think that instead of coming up with a strict set of rules for submissions, the TGP owners should let the surfer decide what they want to go to. If a site opens thumbs into html, or if it has popups, or if it doesnt follow some other rule they have come up with, you can denote that with each link. It couldnt be any harder then what they are doing now.

would you really a listing on a tgp that 'shity fucking gallery but I was asked to list it anyway', imagine a few of those on a tgp listing each day, and watch the bookmarkers find somewhere else to surf, bookmarkers make a tgp, freeloaders or not.
putting it to the test as well if you load pics on html's surfers backout of the site a lot quicker and having tried it I don't see much difference in signups, tgpers like a quick dose of uncluttered porn, it's just the way they have been bred and unlikely to change.
