    Flash video samples bringing conversions up...

    I recently switched to a new format for delivering our sample vids on this tour:
    http://www.gogoauditions.com/tour1/

    The results have been reallllly good. Conversions took a nice jump. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else likes to keep tinkering like I do to max out the site.

          very cool man...what a great idea..wonder why more aren't doing it too....you would think with flash being able to play video now more paysites would be using the fuck out of this

              I will check into it more, but I personally had to view it in IE. With Firefox 1.01 the flash video never showed up (although when I'd right click on the area where the video was suppose to be it would show the menu that is associated with flash.

                  I have Firefox too and it works okay. I am going to add that link to download the WMV and possibly try an embedded WMV too. The thing with the Flash that I like is how small the file size got.

                          It actually wasn't my idea... one of the dudes I chat with on ICQ from time to time was building a site and suggested it. I'm not sure if he wants his URL out there while he's still building or I'd share. But it looked great so I gladly ran with his suggestion. =]

                              What's involved in that flash player????

                              Custom code or something thats generally available?

                              Worked OK for me in firefox.......

                                      I ripped the video to FLV using Sorenson Squeeze 4.0 (http://www.sorenson.com/solutions/prod/comp_win.php).

                                      For HTML I usually handcode but for this I had to use the latest version of Dreamweaver with the Flash Video Kit extension (http://www.macromedia.com/software/s...lashvideokit/).
