Nice article. We've been talking about this for forever. It's nice to see more and more of this kind of "call to arms" articles on widely read sites, like Ynot.

I have already changed my ways...no hardcore for free. I know I'm not alone. Slowly but surely, I believe it will die down. Will free hardcore porn ever go away? Never. But even if it died down a tad, we would all be better off.

Hey Lightning, what did you think of his comments on freehost providers? Do you think maybe you and the friends you've made in the biz (other freehosts) might be able to come together and work out some kind of pact to make no free hardcore a rule?

Don't see the big deal about "not doing hardcore any more".

I'm a British citizen, so it's not definitely not legal for me to do hardcore. I'm 100% softcore... I avoid showing pussy if I can.

I think the thing is that most of the US webmasters never noticed how easy they've had it in comparison to places like England, Germany, Australia. Now it comes... people are making a big deal about going all softcore, seems kind of pathetic to me as that is ALL I have ever done, I don't see the need to risk my ass doing hardcore when I can make a good income from softcore.

Now it's all about morals of only doing softcore... but where were those morals 2 years ago?

Not that's softcore-only is a bad thing, it sure as hell is a GOOD thing, but the sudden change and all... my head it still spinning.

Suddenly I see softcore-only tgps, link lists, rules against hardcore banners. One big flutter methinks.

April, some of my friends (other free hosts) and I discuss this topic all the time. When and if laws get tighter, (hopefully never) I'm sure the free hosts will be some of the first people hit with regulation governing the age, or some type ov legal verification of all surfers to any site hosted on our servers. At this time we are just sitting back and watching what all the govt's are doing.. Only time will tell.

Well It is good to see people agree that free hardcore material is not a great idea.

I think before any government regulates it the majority of savy webmasters will relize better profits will be made by not posting this material for free.

It would be nice to see some of the large influential players such as the freehosts, content providers, tgp's and maybe even sponsor programs.

saying;
- No more hardcore posting on our servers.
- No More using our hardcore material outside of pay or members area
- No more hardcore listings
- no more promoting our sites with hardcore material.

But maybe it isn't time yet. Maybe we still need to kill off some competitiveness first. maybe we need to discourage new webmasters into thinking its a quick profit. Once thats done then we'll flourish.

I personally think most hardcore (notice, I said "most" before you fly off the handle) is disrespectful to women. I shoot girls who are exploring their feminine sexual allure. I don't have to lure them with big pay (I only pay $50/hr) or pressure them with threats of any sort. Posing is what they want to do right from the start. Any money I pay them is just gravy. I doubt it would be the same were I in hard-core.

So, if the world is trending toward soft-core, so much the better as far as I'm concerned. If this requires more talented marketing and some sites fall by the wayside, well, that's what separates the men from the boys, the sheep from the goats, the wheat from the chaff.
