I think I have the flu, what's the difference? When you have the flu you have a fever? They closed one of the schools this week due to 200 kids called out for the flu.

when you have cold, it goes away after a week, when you have flue, you can even die on it in extreme situation i think

For the last 24 hours I have puked more than I have in my whole life . I can't keep anything down not even ginger ale. I called the Dr. but he can't see me till Monday.

We all had it a few weeks ago, I threw up for 1-2 days, felt awful, my skin crawled, every bone in my body ached....was hot then cold...after we all had it, my husband went to our Dr. for a sinus infection (after the virus episode) and he said if we called him, he would've called in a Rx for something that stops the vomitting and you basically "sleep" through it for like 2 days. We were like fuck NOW you tell us?

Thank you hun, that's the same way I feel. I think I'll call and ask the Dr about that. We were going to drive up to NJ for John's party but now I don't know if we will.

Both are viral, but flu is more likely to bring on a fever, flu is also likely to be much more severe than a common cold and last longer! You know if have the flu if you have a fever, headache, and symtoms that persist 2-3 weeks!

Colds are much more mild than flu, and you can still function.

The irony is that a flu short does not protect you against a cold, only that years flu virus.
