Once again Candid makes an ass out of itself with a 0.00% downtime guarantee.

Hey, I'm running a special at SinHost this week - 99.99% uptime. We took .01% off just for shits and giggles. I haven't ever been down but eventually I expect to have a hiccup somewhere.

Marketing 0.00% downtime is just plain lying. So what do all you great Candid customers get when they're down with their 100% uptime guarantee? Also, I'm wondering when Candid's marketing people are going to update their propoganda.

not exactly. one of my 8 servers with them:

maybe others are having different experiences (we're directly connected to a router). i'm very satisfied with candid.

Fuck yeah more than an hour on my box,, about three hours to be exact. I am fuming because I have to struggle to catch up on trades after the MO FO goes down,, every once in awhile would be ok, but this is going on a daily basis now I do believe.

It didnt effect all servers today, But MINE just so happens to always be in the "FUCKED" pocket of "HICCUPPPPS"

I didn't post in here for any other reason then to bitch about a lack of truth in advertising. Fuck Candid for advertising 0.00% downtime. It's not the truth and I think it's shameful that they're lie to get business. I would expect most seasoned webmasters to know better but I can assure you that this gives false hope to newbies that are getting their first dedicated server - and that's a shame.

Otherwise, I think they have an excellent network and teriffic support staff. My problem is with their bullshit advertising claim and nothing else. Haven't you noticed that I post in ever thread about them being down with laughter? They're a huge network and of course there will be problems occasionally. I'm not even suggesting that they have too many problems. What bugs me is simple: don't advertise 0.00% downtime because it's a lie. I'm sure you don't mind that Mariuz - but being a person of principle myself I hate it when people lie.
