because some feces has pockets of methane and this makes it float. If you evacuate quickly after feeluing the urge to defacate, then your feces have ample methane-if you hold on to your feces then you are not only anal-retentive, but you are a veritable flatus factory-but your feces will sink.

I think floating means you are eating to much fats or carbs.

i always shoot for somewhere in between bottom and top... sort of like a mid way floater that is not to heavy to sink, but not to light to make its way to the top
