    What hard disk?

Which hard disks are most reliable these days? I've got to get couple of 200GB SATA disks and I'm not sure which ones - Samsung, Seagate, Maxtor...?

    Seagate has always been reliable.

I have two 120 gig Sata drives from Seagate and they have served me well so far *knocks on wood*

Just stay clear of IBM - they last a year, tops.

oh yeah, Seagate has a new warrenty system that's excellent, I think it's 5 years for every drive. So that's certainly something to look for when chosing which brand

              I would choose Seagate!

Maxtor for sure, if you go 250GB or above they have 16MB cache

Thanks for all the replies, guys. I think I'll get Seagates. Too bad there are no 200GB Barracudas with the NCQ system so I'll need to choose between 160GB/NCQ and 200GB/non-NCQ disks. But that's a minor problem
