Let me ask you something, AlienQ: when a photographer submits a model to a potential buyer using her portfolio pictures for approval, is that wrong?

If so, everyone in this part of the industry (including POV) better start changing their operations. I know for a fact that POV sells models to buyers using pictures from their portfolios. So, I decided to post portfolio pictures in here and ask about interest, and I clearly state that these are NOT my pictures, they are from her portfolio. What is the difference between that and a submission?

Well, I think that people in here have the impression that I've never shot anything. This is FAR from the truth. However, with a model that I've never worked with before, I simply use her portfolio exactly as it is intended to be used - to display to buying customers her value as a model. So what if I have never worked with her? If she was local to me, I would MUCH prefer to use my own test shots, and that is what I usually do. But that's not always possible, as you yourself must know. I seriously don't see you or any individual photographer flying 3000 miles JUST to get a few test shots.

In fact, I recently paid a model $600 for 3 hours of test shooting. I don't go around using other people's work when I can help it, and when I do so, it is from their portfolios, as in this case.

Assuming these pics were provided by the model you've done nothing wrong except post these poor images on, of all places GFY. I don't give a shit if Mr. playboy himself shot these pics, they are nothing short of HORRIBLE. Always test shoot the model if possible and make her look like a girl. Clearly exploitedteens knows what they're doing.
