I'm no expert on PPC, although I would say we have two guys in our office that are pretty close to being so, and I would say that 200 clicks is costing you around $20, right? Close?

In a day 1:200ish isn't bad. you need to let it run for at least a couple of weeks (more like a month if you can) to see if it's a trend or a fluke. If you're using Google's conversion tracker there's a good chance it will increase - their reports are not real-time.

you can do much better on less saturated niches, but they are hard to find. Otherwise they would be saturated, like big tits :D

Hustlin, your conversions and expenditures on Adwords will drastically vary depending on the niche (and sites) you market.

A generic niche/ keywords such as "big tit" attracts far more "window shoppers" than for example "seemed stockings".
However, the percentage of people actually ready (and able!) to buy will be far less.
Even kids and teenagers (= no valid credit card, underage) can type in "big tits" because that's a very common term.

Example: 12-year old Johnny may type in "big tits" into Google because that's what he and his buddies are now getting into and are talking about at recess. But Johnny's buying power and ability is zero.

The more generic a term the higher amount of clicks you will see, but your CTR (Click-Through-Rate) will go down. A good marketer knows what niches, terms and sites to use without spending too much on useless ad displays.

On a side note, 1:200 is about average for generic terms like that. You can maximize your advertizing dollars by strategically selecting niches and ad keywords. Creativity in your textual ads will increase the CTR as well.

We see conversions between 1:13 and 1:80. Anything below that usually warrants dropping the campaign.

I believe CTR is defined as clicks divided by impressions. CTR will fall if you get tons of impressions but fewer and fewer clicks over time. Did you mean 'the higher amount of impressions you will see'?
