    Making $$ on ebay

Ever wonder how some of these people make $$ with a starting bid of $4.99? The only way I see it done is making it up thru volume and shipping. Even then, the profit can't be that great. I remember a few yrs ago when I did that, it wasn't even worth my time

Sometimes it isn't even about making money, but cutting your losses. If you buy something for $20 (say a DVD) and are done with it you can either have it sit on your shelf forever or resell it on e-Bay. You might not get the $20 back, but if you can get $15 back, at least you are only out $5 not all $20. That's how I see it in situations like that. Of course it is more ideal to sell at a big profit, but sometimes that just isn't possible. Just my ...

Sold on eBay for years. If you don't have at least a $10 markup on the item you aren't making money. Selling on eBay is more expensive than a lot of people think.

I am guessing a lot is on shipping. I bought this watch for .01 (NFL Watch for a collection). Paid $10 shipping. I know it didnt cost that much for shipping. I am guessing in this case the person bought these in huge volume for a few bucks each and resells them for next to nothing making money on the shipping end.

Alot of those companies sell a ton of products, hire cheap labor, thus make a decent profit.

I have this software bookmarked on my mainstream computer, it complies with the U.S.P.S. regulations for mail but doesn't list the price of postage on the package.

Basically it allows you to recoup your costs when your item doesn't sell for what you want, and also becomes an additional revenue stream when you sell it for beyond what you planned on.

I've been meaning to buy it when I get one of the lines I want to move on eBay all squarded away.

I buy my ps2 games on ebay. Just payed $27.00 + $4.95 Shipping for a game that costs $49.00 new. Not a great deal I know but it saves me some $$ and a trip to the store!

all you have to do is making sure your shipping costs allows you to pay for:
                            the packaging
                            your ebay listing fees
and of course shipping plus insurance

You have to find something that you can get cheap and people are willing to buy at a premium not easy but it can be done.
