I've been watching the posts for the past week or so and all I see is people bitching about TGPs and how they are hurting the revenue of the adult industry. In stead of sitting here bitching, why not actually change the tgps...msg your friends tell them that you are changing your format to help the cause. A revolution starts with one person, then others follow. I think that if the majority of TGPs changed formats to offer less, others wouldnt feel like "i'm the only one who has changed and no one is comming to my site becuase everyone else offers so much more." I think alot of TGP owners wouldnt have a problem offering less IF they knew that their surfers could simply goto another tgp site that gave away the farm for free. Btw, I have a good buzz going so dont tear into me too hard on this one.

Like most people here know I'm usualy all over the boards so I have read a few of those posts and participated in some of them.

However I'm somewhat unclear about that "new format" you are talking about. Could you explain it a bit?

What would that format be?

new format = less pics, less pink, less hardcore, and more reason for the surfer to click the sponsor...the thing that pays us all. Give the surfer more reason to join that pay site that pays your bills. But not just talk about changing...actually doing it. I don't run TGPs anymore simply becuase I think that once you present the "newbie" surfer with this amount of material for free..they will NEVER sign up for a paysite EVER. I can't imagine taking a first time SE'er and showing him a TGP when he might have thought "hmm..i guess I need to pay to get porn on the net". Plus...if the normal TGP surfers find that nearly all tgps are offering less, they will have to buy a membership simply to feed the addiction of porn that they have become used to by visting the TGPs

ok, now imagine every TGP on the net followed those guidelines....imagine 10-15 sales for one gallery submission. 10-15 might be a stretch, but you get the idea.

CJ2 is absolutely something different!

CJ2 is based on traffic trading and TGP's on gallery submissions. It is true that a lot of CJ2 sites are a hybrid between CJ2 and TGP but there is still a major difference!

About the 'new tgp' here is a part of an e-mail message i've got from a sponsor:

We would like to know your opinion on turning BLABLAPost into a Softcore ONLY, BLABLAPartners ONLY TGP. This means that you will only be listed along with other BLABLAPartners. It will be a softcore only tgp, so there won't be any hardcore photos, other than ones you might see on banners. We believe this will seriously improve your conversions when promoting BLABLA.

I think they've got the point and are acting accordingly.

I got the same E-mail.
I have talk to lot of people in private about the TGP problems and there are some big things going on that I hope it comes off It could solve most of the promblems with TGP.

if a sponsor is gonna' run it's own tgp it would burn out in no time, wouldn't it?
every day the same ppl coming back seeing the same sites on all the galleries, it won't take long before they stop clicking on the links cause they've seen all the sites a 100 times already.
Am I missing something?

Find a way to keep out those who are playing and let in those who are serious and you have the answer. There are some really serious and professional webmasters building up their business on free hosts, trouble is it?s also the door for the idiots who don't know how to sell the product. This business drops the wrong ideas in front of newbies and by the time they learn it?s not such an easy ride they have already done damage.

I am sure over the next 12 months the people who call the real shots will realise the need to apply new rules, maybe we have not got far enough down the hill yet.

As for me, I have taken a completely new route in hopes that changes will tighten up on who can play in this business. I may be wrong but then that?s the risk you take in any venture.

i agree with snakes rules except on the "no hardcore on banners"
if the banner shows hardcor on a non hardcore gallerie it just means "the hard stuff is there" and would make the surfer click...
i remember 5 years ago as i surfed the porn sites most hardcore stuff was hidden by "click here" or "more inside" tags...even in the sponsors tours...only banners were hardcore and i think the clik ratio was great..
