Need a programmer for GEOIp redirect script

For American Traffic, need via htaccess for an invis redirect for each state to have its own linking code.

For Non-American, just to a general landing page.

Fuzebox, why is ALMERE in the sig? I know it's geo IP, but Almere is not that close to here Also my ISP is not from ALMERE. Or did you just pick one city from The Netherlands.

Hey, you're the one who asked if I was really from Brooklyn.

It'll never be 100% or even 90% accurate, given the lack of any centralized standard database. IP addresses are not like zip codes where US Post has a list of them and you know the longitude/latitude that each one belongs to. Most of the entries in each database are found by tracing the routes of every IP block and narrowing the result down by country, state, and finally city, and then in a lot of cases the scripts that do this work are picking keywords from router hostnames. If your ISP's datacenter is in a suburb and serves a large chunk of your state/country, there's a good chance that will be the reported result.

My own scripts show me in a city 3 hours north, but nail my friend a few blocks away with the same ISP. My ISP covers half of Canada, so it makes sense that they would have different uses for different IP blocks at different times.

We already have geoip scripts that do just about anything you need.
I can even log to apache the users whereabouts so you have it in logs.
I can pass geoip info to any script you have and do just about anything
you can dream up.

Take a look... at the top it says Localized results for... and it knows your country.... but I can get it down to latitude and longitude if need be.
