Cropping thumbnails program?

HI, im about to crop alot images to same height X width.. I have Arles Image software, but it give me problems when i crop a folder containing a pic serie, because sometimes its fx. cropping away the head of a model I started to think if a program excisted where i can define a spot/pixel on every big image, so i know that area will be visible and not cropped away, then my life will be very much simpler !!!

I understand what you are saying perfectly.

I used to use xat.com's image optimizer because it had a "batch" function to it for doing the same kind of optimizing to multiple images at once... I don't remember if it did cropping or not though... They may in versions they have come out with lately... Might be worth a look.

I also understand what you want but asking software to identify what part of the pic to include in the crop window is asking a lot. The quickest way to fixed size crop and ensure you get what you want in the crop window is to use software that lets you drag a set crop frame over the full size image. Photoshop does this, not sure about any others.

Why dont you just do the pic's that get cropped bad seperate. Use somthing like Microsoft Picture It or if it comes worse to worse, just change it to .Bmp format and use the picture editer that is included when you open a .Bmp file. Then change it back to .jpeg

I dont suguest doing it with .Bmp.. Just a quick thing I thought of if you have nothing else.
