You create a specific title file, a .ptl file, add text to that, then drag it into the timeline, adjusting the start and end to fit the length of the video you want to title.

Now you're learning. I had the same problem with it at first. All Adobe help files are brief, you just have to find time to push the buttons to see what they do.

hey Gary, if you are really getting serious about digital video:

                        http://discussions.2-pop.com/forums/adobe_premiere.cgi

discussion board for premiere. http://www.2-pop.com is one of the best dv sites out there - heavily weighted towards fcp (final cut pro) users, but there is a ton of useful info and discussions on everything dv.

Gary sorry I didnt check the board today. I would use cleaner its under the image option in specify settings
I use a .png to brand the movie all the way thru..

You can make a transperent .png in photoshop

then set image stamp in cleaner settings like I said above

                          good lucks

I am sure that you can do it in premiere.. I would just be a matter of laying a transperent png over the entire time line.

Check out avid dv express they have a title tool built in that will do all that overlay stuff

Good fucking thread! Their manual is shit but tech support is pretty cool. I'm having trouble with mpg's... it's saving right but after 25 seconds the image doesn't match up with the pic, it's kinda delayed. Support said I should try another converter, cause it's not converting right with Cleaner 5EZ. Anyway, here's the vid http://www.teenagecash.com/hollymatt.mpg

                                        What's wrong with this shit??

If you just want a simple URL, you don't need a graphic, just add a text caption to the blank overlay, then drag it onto the timeline.
