Movie Problems On Server

I have uploaded an 130MB mpg to one of my servers and linked it one of my members areas. When I left click the link to the mpg it plays only a small fraction of the actual clip. If I right click and save target as it will download the full thing. Anyone have any ideas what is going on ? This is happening to other mpgs as well, wmvs are fine.

Make sure your mime types are set up correctly.
If they are set incorrectly, it could be miming the wrong settings to the player you are viewing it with and causing unexpected results.


Take a look at /etc/mime.types or /etc/httpd/conf/mime.types
Should be something like this in there:

video/mpeg mpeg mpg mpe
