have you ever tested sendiung a shitload of traffic to a site full of thumb links vs text links what converted better?

That is a tough one, sometimes it depends upon the niche. General overall TGP, text links seem to work well. Specific niche like teen, the thumb seems to draw them in.

I have done shitty on some text mgps while awesome with others. Same goes with thumbs. I think the advantage to a thumb mgp is that you can be posted low and still get more clicks than the top gallery if your girl is hot.

Thumbs tend to have better productivity as far as clicking and sending traffic out to trades, but I would venture to guess that a text tgp would have better conversion ratios overall (although maybe not quite as much traffic) :D

I would venure to guess thumb tgps have more productivity because they have a higher ratio of broadband surfers on their sites. It takes dialup surfers 3 minutes just to load the main page!
