I've been wondering the same thing. This is what I have in mind . . . but haven't started. I want to run everyday but haven't been able to establish a regular pattern. If running isn't for you then . . .
*A few sets of dumbells (15,20,35) buy more when these are too easy.
*An adjustable step pad. Three levels (stack folded)
Do lots of low impact stepping (like step areobics) but don't call it "step areobics" otherwise someone might say you are less than a man.
As any form of exercise is good for you, and at least some form is recommended as a necessity of good health, exercising without equipment won't build ya significant muscle mass if that is what you're looking for. But exercising without equipment still can definitely yield great results if losing fat is what you want (assuming most importantly that you have a good diet going).
Walking is best. You can improvise and use make-shift light weights, like a 5lb bag of sugar or flour or fill a plastic gallon with water, that's very heavy! There's lots of objects you can use as weights. lol... Doing everyday chores like cleaning, going up and down stairs etc. is great exercise.
