Whats the best technolgies out there to provide live video streams? in my case, my 24/7 webcam on my site.
I used to have a good deal worked out for bandwidth at a friends ISP and just stuck a box under his desk and just did 100kbit unicast windows media streaming.. but after pushing 10megabit/s for about 5 years they're bored with the idea.
SO is there a better mousetrap out there than windows media? i set this up back in 1999 originally so i'm not up on the new technology. i need to do video and sound, live , 320x240, and its gotta be server based, PREFERABLY run on linux hosting (but not real media).
So this may be an excuse for me to upgrade to the latest and greatest formats.
