servermatrix MatriXtreme 2.8 - avoid

i have 4 of these and all are pretty much useless...

avoid

the usual 1200gig planed servers are fine...but these xtreme are total crap

whatever config apache is on these it will crash well before 20mbit/sec for extended periods..

It's not cogent that causes the problems either i have several servers on cogent at other places and they are just fine no issues at all.

just letting you know my experiences before you waste your time, effort and money on those turds...

Those that have had good experiences with these xtreme servers ...congrats

I have some cogentco bandwidth boxes and have and no problems what so ever. Strange you had this problem with the boxes and that many of them, rules out a fluke.

I use Zeus Web Server, which runs circles around Apache. Worth every penny.

the support there is actually very very good and quick to respond and help as much as they can ...however there is just something very wrong with the xtreme boxes.

If you have those boxes pulling over 15mbit/s for extended periods thats good im pleased you got a good box...

i mean the price is too good to be true so yeah i know ....if its sounds too good.........

ah ok, I miss understood your post, sounded like you wheren't sure about the apache config.

i wouldnt get that plan because its cogent, i had a 1200 gig plan and it was fine. but you should have tweaked your apache, but now i am with webair and am very happy awesome upstream. hit up mike icq in sig mention my name and you will get a good deal

I just purchased the 2.8 extreme from them and am currently migrating my site there
