Any1 else having ICQ login problems?

is that known to be a problem ?
my ICQ is DOA to 50% of those that message me ,.. nothing helps , but I havent cleared any logs .. dont want to either unless I KNOW it will help .

yep.. after trying and trying to find out what was wrong with my icq.. I saw this on a bbs somewhere.. and it worked.. there's a limit to the amount of history you can have apparantely.. and when that limit is reached icq does a lot of crazy things

I just copy the history to a notepad and save it that way.. I have a lot of history on my HD

Hmm . gonna have to see if I can export it all .
Interesting as hell .. cause I just keep wishing to myself it was back in the day , when ICQ was good and not just an ad carrier .

don't use the save button on the icq history.. just right click on the history and select all.. then copy and paste onto a notepad.. for some reason the save history doesn't work well

for each person ?

theres gotta be a more effecient way .. I have over 400 contacts

Try downloading ICQ Lite - I haven't had too many problems since I got it. (Just a login problem like the one I had earlier)

just do it for a few that have a lot of history.. I bet it fixes your problem

I hate Lite ..
had it fuck up on me a few times too ..
I made it message view only , and there was no button to get it back .. happened 2 seperate times . a bug or something .

I had to start using ICQ 2 go .. It work so much better. I have not had one problem since i started using it.
