    does anyone run raid on their personal computers, how much fast is it, noticable? i have two 100gig 10000 rpms i just bought. i have two computers, was thinking about raiding em together in one computer.
    250$ 1000GB / Mo - 2000mb space - 10 domains - .26 per gig overage

    it depends on your scsi card and if you're going to setup raid 0, 1, or 5.

      I would not raid your personal computer, you wont see that much of a performance gain for surfing gfy etc. Unless you do some serious movie/graphics editing not galleries etc. then it might be worth it, otherwise dont bother.

        i have a 100gb raid on my personal system simply for security... if my data drive crashes, i have a backup
        the revolution is coming.

            I would just setup something to do daily backups becuase if you have a virus data on both drives will be fucked.

                I tried it a couple of computers ago..and it was nothing but problems..went through 3 different motherboards to even get it to work..

                    raid isnt to protect against virus, mcaffee does that.
