And a jug of the crappiest Vodka you can buy and run it through the filter a few times that'll come out as smooth as some top shelf stuff.

I guess it could work ... most of these top shelve Vodkas are just good branding ... i used to work as a bartender about 4 years ago at a country club ...and i couldn't believe it but we would get a list of the top 50 vodkas and Absolute was at the bottom every time .... i know that's not top shelve but it rated lower then our cheap pouring vodka in the rack ... it's crazy what a little marketing can do...

That's how we, russians, do:

1) take 100ml of vodka
2) take 50ml of Coca-Cola (or whatever)
3) drink vodka
4) drink coca-cola

Repeat steps 1 to 4 until you wake up next evening

Nasty. I love Vodka and have no problem drinking it straight up. But I simply can't mix it with Coke. I've never liked it. Maybe with a squeeze of lemon, or Pepsi Twist, it'd be palatable. But just Vodka and Coke? Eww.
