    Worldcom

Worldcom is now trading at approximately 26 cents.

Anyone have a realistic idea of the future of Worldcom? I know they own MCI. I just found out they own UUNet. What are the chances of Worldcom going completely out of business? What are the chances of them recovering from this mess?

    after the newest scandal

    no chance to re-organize

just the day traders will be pumping the stock a few pennies.

when average people think they will recover, just like they did with enron

Well I just bought a bunch of thier stock hoping.

It's wasn't that big of an investment but I'm betting they come out ahead after they clear this mess up.

I hope it doesn't affect UUNet that will have a very grave impact on the rest of the net.

btw... JFPDude will be back tonight. I'm posting on his behalf

as someone who cashed 7 figure checks each month from worldcom, I'll tell you that its my opinion the company is SO fucked up I'm sure they will shortly be in recievership.

If *WE* ran worldcom, .....well, you know...........

That's what I'm thinking of doing. Buying up some shares, but only if there's a reasonable chance of them recovering.

They're laying off people. Selling non-core businesses. A bunch of their loans will probably be called in, and they'll definitely have trouble getting new loans.

Wondering if there is a way out of it. Even if it's 5 to 10 years down the road, I can wait. Especially if the potential return is enormous (which it is).

bush wants a probe into their affairs..

                dont buy it

                it will be another enron

buy Aol instead.. they will bounce back.. after some reforms are made.

And after the last shareholders meeting.. something will happen very soon

You should pick up some Global Crossing, Williams, and Tyco while you're at it.

Wcom is sooooo fucknozzled. They were weeks from chapter 11 due to the market conditionand debt load BEFORE this little $4B 'scandal.' That's billion with a B boys and girls.

Shouldn't hurt UUNet too much, they'll at least selloff their assets to someone that can actually use them to make money with..
