Time to buy a new computer and with Halflife 2 here, I'm gonna go full-out and buy a potent gamers machine.
Would appreciate your feedback on a few of the specs I am getting.
RAM - KINGSTON HYPERX 1024MB DUAL CHANNEL KIT PC3200 2X512MB DDR 400MHZ 184PIN
Is this dual channel technology worth spending the extra buck right now?
VIDEO CARD - Sapphire X800XT 256M ViVo AGP8x Radeon X800 XT 256M DDR3 DVi-i TV-o ViVO AGP8x
I want a potent video card that supports two monitors, I believe this is called dual display.
Not sure which of the high ends support it.
This is the chipset and motherboard I got picked out:
INTEL PENTIUM 4 3.0 E GHZ PROCESSOR S478 800MHZ FSB P4 1MB CACHE
ASUS P4P800-E DELUXE S478 865PE DUAL DDR AGP 5PCI SATA 1394 SOUND 1000LAN
Basically I don't want to go overboard and buy brand new technology cuz it aint worth it.
