crossed my mind too . . . well I rode motocross for 3 years beginning at age 15, and I have 175,000 miles on the bike shown above, so I would guess that I can handle my own, although I don't really like riding sportbikes . . . they don't feel right for my style of riding.

I did race a guy on a Ducati thru Mulhulland and held my own, but I think he was inexperienced.

Two bikes, on the road in the winter, my bike looks more packed up because I shed my riding gear for the smoke break. Plus back then we did not have all the modern amenities like sleeping backs than rolled real small.

Compare it to this when I was on a 3 week cross country trip

I actually bought one once, but only to sell it to a German. The guy that sold it to me was pissed that I wasn't going to keep it, but I told him it was strictly an investment bike, and I only shipped AMF out of the country.
