This whole 'cheating' thing is so subjective.
When two people take their situation into a dedicated interaction they can't just fall into it. If you never talk about the boundaries and needs of your particular relationship then no rules can apply. No relationship exists if no understanding is made. Now I'm not saying you grab that booty call and have a deep and philosophical talk with them about your relationship... but if you want something deeper than that, you have to be able to offer something to balance it.
IMO, a relationship can be anything, and include anything and anyone if that is what both partners are comfortable with... anything else is just sneaky and mean.
