Thumbnail generators

Is there any software or browser extensions that lets you crop thumbnails
directly from images in a browser?
I know applications like Autogallery have a similar feature, but I'm looking for
something I can use standalone not specifically for an Autogallery-powered site.
Right now I'm saving images with the browser and then opening them up in
Photoshop to make thumbnails, but there must be a quicker way. Thanks.

I'm not sure if Avdeluxe is licensing content. I'm just advertising their site but I don't run it. You might want to email them directly.
