Why do some webmasters cheat?

I just had a cheater. His cheating gallery was up for about 30 minutes before I discovered it, deleted it, and banned him.
If he didn't cheat he'd be able to send galleries everyday and make some money.

So I'm wondering why people cheat if they would make a lot more money in the long run if they didn't.

Yep, and cheaters feel the only way they can get ahead is by taking advantage of others. All cheaters have short life spans in this biz from what I have seen.

PK, 3 exwives, 2 kids that I have custody of, 3 houses, 4 or 5 cars, countless pets and all my best years down the drain. They all 3 still cheat on alimoney paperwork to get more money from me. I still pay child support even though I have the kids. One does not realize how vengefull a woman can be until they are your EX.

Even better than a gallery submitter re-directing is when another TGP owner submits galleries, and then re-directs 20+ links on you. Just had that shit happen on a niche site I run, actually got tipped off by one of my longtime friends about it. Guess what? Fucker needs a new niche. He just lost 10+ trades with the biggest sites. Hope it was worth it.

Part of the reason is that people do not meet face to face on the net.

When we wanted to expand out internet sales we thought the best way was via Content Providers. We would give them a bunch of sets and they would give us the money. Like the two brokers we were already with.

The thing is they all failed. Either they did not have the clients they said or they shaved. One had 20 sets three months and sent us $75 then told us the reason was he did not have enough of our content on his site. Another never sold a set after the 15th of the month, why? "That's the way the Internet is"

We now know the truth, they shaved. Stupid are you kidding, they lost our content, we opened our own site and are now a big competitors to them.

But that is the Internet It will change it is young enough to learn.

Damn, I was all hot to come into this thread and bitch about all the cheating that I see going on, and then I saw the messages about all the divorce and custody, and now I feel better because despite the fact that the world is full of scumbags who cheat everyway they can, , I have a great woman by my side, 2 kids and one on the way.

It's nice to have that kind of base.

(Doesn't mean I don't want to string up all the damn cheaters making it near impossible to do business these days!!)

Haha.. maybe your ex and my ex should get together ...they can spend our money. At least I'm seeing some light at the end of the tunnel for what I had to pay out to mine in "asset disbursement". Gawd...if I had a nickel for every time I heard "it's not about the money". Least my kids weren't his. My boys' natural father is one that runs from the child support he was ordered to pay even though it was a small amount cause I always made more then he did...(this is pre-PK days). My boys asked me two years ago to try to get a hold of him. Sent him a contact letter through the State Support offices. He obviously got it...came and peeked at where we lived. His response to a letter saying that his own sons wanted to have contact with him was to file papers to have his support reduced to the state minimum of $25 a month per child. And you'd think the court would first say something about the tens of thousands he owed in back child support that I sure could of used way back when.
