Win 2000 pro HELP!

I run win 2000 pro on one of my machines and it is now asking for a password which I don't have. In the past it asked for the password but I just press OK or cancel and it would by pass it, but now it won't let me logon without a pass. Thanks in advance for any help. Thanks Cold_ice!

Yeah I'm trying to avoid that. I have my shit backed up till september, but itwill sux sweaty nuts if I have to re-enter an entire month worth of work.

Anyone? I heard that a PC locks after 3 unsucessful tries; is that correct. If so how does one unlock it?
