    How do I convert a .JPEG picture into .GIF or .JPG (or is JPG the same as JPEG???) Thanks.

      You can use photoshop. Just open the file and then 'save as' or 'save for web'.

      Or if you don't have photoshop, then you can get a shareware version of ACDSee, and convert it there.

      AFAIK, .jpg and .jpeg are the same.

          First of all jpeg is the same a jpg, second to convert from jpeg to gif you can simply use paint it?s in your accessories just open the image there and click file, save as, image.jpeg or gif . There I did my good deed for day now I can sleep better!

            go to download.com for some free converters (search for image converter i guess) if u dont want to fork up the cash for photoshop

                      You can conver .jpg into .gif (and many other) with Paint SHop Pro. Very easy.
