I am having a problem with Windows Media Player.........What is going on is....I encoded a bunch of files in .wmv for mat and uploaded them to my members area.......The problem i am having is when i click on the links to view the files......windows media player keeps asking for a username and password......What is with that??.......I authenticated my pass when i entered the members area.........Anyone have any ideas......I figured that the media player would ask for a pass one time but it asks for every link i click on.......

i *think* you need to "embed" the windows media player into an html page rather than have it load seperately to avoid this.

or, alternatively, you could put the movies in some private non-web accessable area. create a CGI in the movie's place. the CGI would create a random link from a publicly accessable place to your private place behind the scenes. then the surfer could be redirected to that place. then just remove the link as soon as they load it (you can assume they have within like 2 minutes, surely).
