Dialer...

Okay, I think I wanna give it a shot...have a dialer on one of my websites. Either my AVS or gallery site. Most likely my gallery one.

PROBLEM: I dont have a fuckin CLUE on how to get started or even if it would be logical to put one on my gallery.

Can people with experience help me out? Thanks!

what stage are you at? Do you actually have the dialer at your disposal right now?

it is in a .exe file..

What you do is, upload it to your server as you would a jpg file.

then you make a link off you page to the dialer like you would for a image..

Like for an image you would link to something like http://www.yoursite.com/lisa.jpg

for a dialer you do it like this
http://www.yoursite.com/nameofyourdialer.exe

then click on the link off your page, to make sure it loads properly.

aggressive marketing methods are most often needed, as it seems... Java alerts and the like... Give us a few tips, Boneprone (supreme overlord of GFY)

Stay away from the java alerts unless you are a CJ site.

I do not run any cj sites but have tested this dialer thingie on a couple of free sites, just using banner/text links.

The result so far is disappointing... Maybe dialers are most properly used on cj sites?
