It will happen eventually, obviously. It's just the normal cycle of life on Earth. Species all die off sooner or later. What is intriguing is whether another lifeform will rise up one day and surpass what homo sapiens have accomplished. It seems unfathomable, but perhaps we are nothing but a footnote in the annals of this planet.
