mysql database backup....transfer

I am switching hosting in the next few days so I'd like to know how can I transfer my database because I don't want to lose some important data.

Anyone knows how?

if you have cpanel theres an option under mysql there to backup data... then you just have to connect via ssh to your new host and import the database

you can do it through phpmyadmin.

yes its a good idea to backup with phpmyadmin since most of the virtual host does not provide thier users with ssh
