How can I get a Windows 2000 Replacement CD?

    How can I get a Windows 2000 Replacement CD?

    This is extremely frustrating, but I have been on the phone for the past hour trying to figure out who can send me one of these between Dell and Microsoft and it seems neither are willing to send me replacement CD's and trying to get me to buy (for nearly $300 US) new versions.

    Long story short, the original Windows 2000 CD I got with my Dell laptop is broken in half and I'm trying to order a replacement. I have the original in front of me, I have the Product Key and even the receipt if needed. Dell doesn't carry Win2000 any more and can't help. Microsoft will ship replacement CD's for OEM but not royalty OEM versions like Dell has. So as it stands, nobody can ship me a replacement CD.

    Anybody have any idea where I can get a replacement CD? Not looking to pirate it, I have the Product Key to use, I just need the CD.

      I know of places where you can order backup versions - but I'm not sure you'll find the royalty OEM version for Dell.

      Anyhow, hit me up if you want a url.

      Bump either way so hopefully someone else may have a solution for you!

          Don't need the Dell version, any windows 2000 will do.
